Made In America is back for 2015! It's been long cold winter here in the U.S. and Made In America has been on a long break, but one thing holds true, snow, sleet, rain or shine, there is always good music to be discovered.
And now, on with the show!
Morgantown, West Virginia's Goodwolf is the solo project of Sleepwalker’s Tyler Grady, who like me, has a deep-seeded love for 90's alt-rock with a slight lean towards the more melodic side of life. Car In The Woods (2014) is the follow-up to their 2012 debut Shitty Kids. Out now via Twin Cousins Records, Car In The Woods radiates an Icky Mettle era Archers of Loaf vibe right off the bat which hooks me in quickly.
Grady's songwriting echoes a lo-fi slackerness and doesn't hang it's hat on metaphors to get the point across. "I'm in a good mood, I'm in a bad mood, and that's that. This is good stuff". The album opening track, "St. Someone Else" is the perfect way to get things going.
